October 1 (SeeNews) - Slovenian chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] said it has repurchased 1,335 of its own shares for a total of 237,200 euro ($258,200).
Thus, Cinkarna Celje has increased its holding of own shares to 0.9855% of the issued share capital from 0.8203%, the company said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Monday.
The 1,335 shares were acquired in a couple of transactions last week. Cinkarna Celje bought back 480 own shares at 177.27 euro each on September 26, and a further 855 shares at 177.91 euro on September 27.
As of September 30, following the transactions, Cinkarna Celje holds 7,963 own shares.
The decision for the share buyback was approved by the general shareholders' meeting of Cinkarna Celje on June 4.
The company's shares closed down 0.28% at 179.5 euro on Monday.
