November 29 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's central bank has lifted the mandatory common equity Tier 1 capital buffer for Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) [LJE:NLBR] 25 basis points to 1.25% as of January 1, 2023, NLB said.
NLB was notified about the decision of the central bank on November 24, it said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Friday.
The central bank sets the capital buffer for commercial banks based on the size of the banking group, the importance for the financial system infrastructure, complexity and cross-border activity, and interconnectedness.
Slovenia's central bank conducts a process for the identification of systemically important institutions and sets capital buffers at least once a year.
