June 20 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in May increased by 6% month-on-month to 492, the office of national statistics said on Monday.
A total of 204 permits were issued for residential projects in May, down from April's 221, and 288 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, up from April's 244, the statistical office said in a statement.
The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in May stood at 164,719 sq m, up from 147,213 sq m a month earlier, the statement read.
The construction of 232 new dwellings was planned in the permits issued in May, down from 279 in April.
