April 20 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in March increased by 5% month-on-month to 538, the office of national statistics said on Wednesday.
A total of 280 permits were issued for residential projects in March, up from February's 257, and 258 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, up from February's 255, the statistical office said in a statement.
The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in March stood at 161,637 sq m, up from 135,694 sq m a month earlier, the statement read.
The construction of 482 new dwellings was planned in the permits issued in March, down from 507 in February.
