September 22 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in August increased by 26% month-on-month to 628, the office of national statistics said.
A total of 241 permits were issued for residential projects in August, up from July's 201, and 387 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, up from July's 297, the statistical office said in a statement last week.
The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in August stood at some 169,201 sq m, up from 132,895 sq m a month earlier, the statement read.
The construction of 379 new dwellings was planned in the permits issued in August, up from 245 in July.
