LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 20 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in January fell 10% year-on-year to 577, the office of national statistics said on Thursday.
A total of 224 permits were issued for residential projects in January, down 25% on the year, while 353 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, up 2%, the statistical office said in a statement.
Compared to the previous month, building permits issued in Slovenia rose 5% in January.
The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in January totalled 138,154 sq m, up 4% compared to December and down 7% compare to January 2019.
The construction of 350 dwellings was planned in the permits issued in January, 48% more than in December 2019 and 2% fewer than in January 2019.
