March 21 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in February decreased by 44% month-on-month to 344, the office of national statistics said.
A total of 156 permits were issued for residential projects in February, down from January's 301, and 188 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, down from January's 312, the statistical office said in a statement on Monday.
The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in February stood at 125,354 sq m, down from 219,904 sq m a month earlier, the statement read.
The construction of 353 new dwellings was planned in the permits issued in February, down from 844 in January.
