LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 9 (SeeNews) – The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, the SBITOP, lost ground on Tuesday as total turnover jumped, bourse data showed.
The SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, LJSE, decreased by 0.65% to 675.75 points after losing 0.06% on Friday. The bourse was closed on Monday for a public holiday.
Total daily turnover on the LJSE jumped to 693,900 euro ($782,165) from 241,900 euro on Friday.
Six out of the seven blue chips of the LJSE closed down on Tuesday while one ended up.
Fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] was the only SBITOP advancer, adding 0.37% to 257 euro.
Reinsurer Pozavarovalnica Sava [LJE:POSR] led the session's decliners, falling 2.4% to 12.2 euro.
Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the most traded company, generating a total turnover of 302,840 euro with 4,960 shares changing hands.
