January 31 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's ‘bad bank’ plans to complete the sale of sports footwear manufacturer and retailer Alpina by March, local media reported.
The Bank Assets Management Company (DUTB) has invited six companies to carry out due diligence on Alpina, of which four are still in the race for the acquisition of the company, namely Slovenian ski manufacturer Elan, American-Austrian sports equipment maker Head, Czech company K&H and a group of Slovenian investors, public broadcaster RTV reported on Saturday.

Last year, Alpina recorded a 20% rise in revenue as demand for hiking and cross-country footwear increased significantly due to the changes in the habits of people who opted for more outdoor exercise, RTV quoted sources from Alpina as saying.
"As Alpina is in the sale process, the fate of the company is in the hands of the future investor," the sources noted.
Alpina has been undergoing financial restructuring since 2016.
