June 30 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consumer prices rose by 0.9% year-on-year in June, after growing by an annual 1.5% in the previous month, the statistical office said on Friday.
In June, the biggest upward impact on annual inflation came from 10.3% higher prices of fruit and 7.8% more expensive footwear.
The annual inflation was pushed down by lower prices of garments and second-hand motor cars.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices remained unchanged in June, after increasing by 0.7% in May.
The monthly growth rate was pushed up by 10.2% higher prices of packaged holidays.
Measured by the harmonised index of consumer prices, Slovenia's annual growth was also 0.9%, while the monthly growth was minus 0.1%.
Slovenia posted annual inflation of 0.5% in 2016, following 0.5% deflation in 2015.
