November 30 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consumer prices rose 0.6% on the year in November, after increasing at the same rate in October, the statistics office said on Wednesday.
Higher prices of services and goods contributed 0.5 percentage point and 0.1 percentage point, respectively, to the annual inflation rate in November, the statistics office said in a monthly inflation report.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices rose by 0.1% in November, after increasing by 0.5% in October, the data indicated.
At the annual level, price growth was supported by higher prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which increased by 1.3% year-on-year in November. Prices of communications increased by 1.8% and prices in restaurants rose by 0.9%. Prices of furnishing, household equipment and maintenance grew by 0.8%.
On the other hand, prices of clothing and footwear declined by 0.3% on the year in November, the statistics office reported.
On a monthly comparison basis, November inflation was fuelled by higher prices of garments, as well as prices of fuels and lubricants, which grew by 1.5% each. However, inflation pressure was tempered by an 8.1% decline in fruit prices.
Measured by the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), the annual price growth was 0.7% in November 2016.
