May 27 (SeeNews) - Slovenian manufacturer of exhaust systems Akrapovic plans to reduce its labourforce as orders and sales drop due to the coronavirus pandemic, local media reported on Wednesday.
In order to adapt to the post-coronavirus reality, Akrapovic will have to lay off part of its workers, among other measures, state news agency STA reported, quoting company officials.
They did not say how many employees will be dismissed.
Akrapovic employs some 1,000 people in its two factories - in the central town of Ivanicna Gorica, where the company is headquartered, and in Crnomelj in Slovenia's south.
Privately-held Akrapovic was founded in 1990 as a exhaust systems manufacturer for the motorcycle market, and expanded to the automobile market in 2010.
