March 21 (SeeNews) - Slovenian manufacturer of camper vans and caravans Adria Mobil started production of caravans at leased premises in Bic, eastern Slovenia, local media reported.
Adria Mobil relocated from its factory in Novo Mesto to Bic 140 employees, who work in one shift, public broadcaster RTV reported on Saturday.
If supplies of base vehicles improve, another shift will be launched and staff numbers will exceed 200, RTV quoted Adria Mobil CEO Sonja Gole as saying.
Adria Mobil plans to produce 7,000 caravans a year in Bic under the Adria and Sun Living brand if one-shift production is maintained. If a second shift is added, annual output could reach 10,000 units, Gole said.
Adria Mobil leased the production premises in Bic from a subsidiary of French car interior components maker Treves.
Adria Mobil specialises in the construction and distribution of leisure accommodation vehicles.
