November 3 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's Adria Airways has abandoned plans to launch flights to Munich, Vienna, Berlin and Hamburg from the Swiss capital Bern after Swiss carrier SkyWork Airlines renewed its licence for the routes, local media reported.
Adria Airways planned to station two Saab 2000 turboprop aircraft in Bern and fly the routes, but these plans were dropped when SkyWork Airlines announced this week it Federal Office of Civil Aviation FOCA renewed its operating licence for an unlimited period.
Adria was due to launch flights out of Bern on November 6, but has now suspended ticket sales, news agency STA reported on Thursday.
Adria was planning to borrow the aircraft for the new routes from its sister company Adria Airways Switzerland.
