LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), July 2 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's Adria Airways said on Tuesday it has signed an agreement with Denmark-based Northern Aerotech to provide maintenance services to the entire Adria fleet based in Ljubljana and Lugano.
The contract includes line maintenance and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) recovery, Adria Airways said in a press release.
Northern Aerotech has decades of experience, performing line and heavy maintenance on mid-range passenger aircraft, Adria Airways noted.
“We are very pleased to enter this kind of cooperation with the Northern Aerotech, which provides us complete customized service with full attention and in all situations. We pursue impeccable maintenance, repair, operations (MRO) service since safety is our first priority. We strongly believe that we’ve found a reliable MRO partner who will be supporting our needs and demands,” managing director of Adria Airways, Sven Kukemelk, said.
The number of passengers carried by Adria Airways fell 5% year-on-year in April to 101,200, Slovenia's statistical office said last month. Adria travelled 85 million passenger-kilometres with its aircraft in April, down 13% year-on-year, the office of statistics said in a monthly transport sector report.
