October 29 (SeeNews) - Slovenian lender Abanka Vipa said on Thursday its net profit fell 19.9% to 17.9 million euro ($26.5 million) in the first nine months of 2009.
“Despite continued uncertainty in financial markets and in the real economy we are satisfied with our performance in the first nine months of 2009,” Abanka Vipa said in a statement to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) where it is listed.

Local insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav owned 25.6% of Abanka Vipa (www.abanka.si) as of the reporting date, while holding company Sava and Gorenjska Banka controlled stakes of 23.83% and 9.9% each, according to the LJSE filing.
Abanka Vipa shares, part of LJSE's broader SBI20 index, closed unchanged at 56 euro on the LJSE on Thursday.
