November 8 (SeeNews) - New passenger hybrid electric car registrations in Slovenia rose to 719 in the first nine months of 2017, from 282 in the like period of 2016, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, ACEA, said on Wednesday.
There were 97 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles registrations in Slovenia in the January-September period, up from 33 registered in the corresponding period of 2016, ACEA said in a press release.
Slovenia also has 202 battery electric vehicle registrations in the review period, up from 96 a year earlier, and 326 other alternative fuel vehicle registrations, up 35.8%.
In the third quarter alone, Slovenia's hybrid electric car registrations more than doubled to 263 from 115 in July to September last year. In that period, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles jumped from 14 last year to 43, while battery electric vehicle registrations rose 39.2% to 71 and other alternative fuel vehicles expanded 76.9% to 115.
In the EU, total hybrid vehicles registrations rose 60.6% to 324,678, while other alternative fuel vehicles added 13.0% to 151,856.
