LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 16 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's current account surplus increased to 1.85 billion euro ($2.2 billion) in the first eight months of 2017 from 1.42 billion euro in the same period last year, central bank data showed on Monday.
In August alone, Slovenia's current account balance recorded a 199.5 million euro surplus, up from 84.6 million euro in August 2016.
Slovenia's trade surplus narrowed to 1.07 billion euro in January-August from 1.08 billion euro in the corresponding period last year, as exports rose 13.2% to 18.43 billion euro and imports increased 14.3% to 17.37 billion euro.
