LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 17 (SeeNews) – Slovenia budget deficit fell to 332.4 million euro ($405.8 million) in 2017, or 0.8% of GDP, from 684.8 million euro in 2016, finance ministry data showed on Wednesday.
Total budget revenues increased 6.1% year-on-year to 8.82 billion euro in 2017, while expenditures rose by 1.7% to 9.16 billion euro, according to figures posted on the website of the finance ministry.
In December alone, Slovenia posted a budget deficit of 173.3 million euro, compared to a shortfall of 82.6 million euro a year earlier. Revenues collected in December fell 3.8% to 776.5 million euro, while expenditures rose to 949.8 million euro, from 889.9 million euro.
