LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), April 23 (SeeNews) – The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, the SBITOP, recovered on Thursday amid higher total daily turnover, bourse data indicated.
The SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, LJSE, rose by 0.38% to 819.64 points after losing 0.13% on Wednesday.
Five of the seven blue chips of the LJSE closed higher, one fell while Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] ended flat at 113 euro ($121.5) on Thursday.
Reinsurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] led the blue-chip gainers, closing up 1.34% at 15.9 euro.
Home appliances maker Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] was the sole blue-chip decliner, closing down 1.61% at 6.1 euro.
Port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] was the most traded blue-chip company with 37,564 shares changing hands. The stock closed up 1.17% at 26 euro.
Total daily turnover on the LJSE increased to 3.7 million euro from 2.5 million euro on Wednesday.
