January 25 (SeeNews) - The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed lower for a third consecutive trading session on Tuesday, as turnover remained high, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index fell 1.89% to 1,273.42 points, while the SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, lost 1.88%, ending at 1,495.62 points, LJSE data showed.
Petroleum and fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] paced the blue-chip decliners, with shares dropping 4.76% to 520 euro on Tuesday.
Port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] was the sole gainer among the members of the two stock indices. Its shares went up 0.79% to 25.60 euro on Tuesday.
Pharmaceutical company Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the most liquid company on the bourse, generating a turnover of 1.06 million euro ($1.2 million). Krka's shares closed at 115.50 euro, down 0.43%.
The bourse's daily trading turnover totalled 2.4 million euro on Tuesday, compared with 3.1 million euro generated on Monday.
