October 22 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) gained more than one percent each on Monday, completely erasing their losses from Friday but turnover halved, brokers said.
The bourse's broader 15-share SBI20 index gained 1.27% to 11,386.98 points, while the blue-chip index SBITOP ended 1.42% higher at 2,478.34.
The most traded share was retailer Mercator, which gained 0.83% to finish at 350 euro on 2.1 million euro of turnover.
Drug maker Krka attracted the second biggest daily turnover, 1.6 million euro, rising 1.56% to 110 euro closing.
Telekom Slovenije was the biggest gainer among blue-chips. Having falling 4.67% on Friday, its share price rebounded by rising 4.18% to 413.16 euro closing but on only 461,000 euro turnover. Last Monday, the country’s Economy Ministry said 12 candidates had submitted non-binding bids for 49.13% of the company. "The price of the telecom has fallen too much in the previous few trading sessions and the recovery was expected,” one broker told SeeNews.
A further five blue chips rose and two lost ground.
Total turnover on the LJSE fell to 7.4 million euro from 14.85 million euro on Friday.
