May 19 (SeeNews) - Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] has booked a consolidated net profit of 16.5 million euro ($17.8 million) in the first quarter of 2023, same as the net profit recorded in the like period of last year, it said.
Consolidated sales revenue went up 13% on the year to 80.1 million euro in January-March, Luka Koper said in a statement with the Ljubljana bourse on Thursday.
The company's consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) edged down to 19.6 million euro from 19.7 million euro, while the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went up to 27.6 million euro from 27.4 million euro.
Luka Koper handled 5.7 million tonnes of cargo in January-March, down 3% on the year, with dry and bulk cargo declining 15% to 1.5 million tonnes. An overall 2.5 million tonnes of container cargo was processed in the period under review, down 2% on the year.
