January 16 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant Krsko produced 516,231 MWh of electricity net in December, 1.22% above plan, the plant operator said on Tuesday.
Gross electricity output totalled 543,076.3 MWh last month, Krsko said in a statement.
Last month, Krsko said it will exceed its 2017 production target of 5,900 GWh of electricity.
In 2016, the plant beat its production target by 0.6% and generated net 5,431 GWh.
The power plant was built in Slovenia near the border with Croatia in the 1970s when the two countries were still part of the former Yugoslavia. The two neighbours share the power plant's output.
