October 18 (SeeNews) - Slovenian food producer Zito on Thursday reported a 3.8% annual rise in group sales in the first nine months of 2007 to 80.5 million euro ($115 million), mainly due to higher exports.
Zito posted a 7.4% year-on-year rise in sales abroad and a 3.0% rise in its sales on the domestic market through September, it said in a statement.
The company plans exports to account for 23% of its total sales in 2012, up from 20% in 2007. Zito forecasts group sales of 125 million euro in 2012, up from 118 million euro projected for this year. Group net profit is forecast to rise to 5.0 million euro in 2012. Earlier this year the company said it expects a group net profit of 2.2 million euro for 2007.
Shares in Zito, part of the broader 15-share index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, SBI20, lost 0.14% to an average price of 379.51 euro in morning trade on Thursday.
