April 3 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's competition watchdog closed an investigation into alleged abuse of dominant position by Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] on the bit stream broadband access interconnection market in the 2002-2005 period, Telekom Slovenije said.
The competition regulator suspended the proceedings as it was unable to calculate the economic impact of the alleged irregularities, Telekom Slovenije said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Friday.
In November 2013, the Slovenian competition regulator found that Telekom Slovenije abused its dominant position on the bit stream broadband access interconnection market. However, the country’s Supreme Court cancelled the decision saying that it "was burdened by incorrect application of the substantive law, significant procedural irregularities, and incomplete finding of facts", after which the competition watchdog resumed the investigation.
The procedure was launched in October 2004 on the basis of a complaint from a consumer.
