October 8 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's competition agency, AVK, said it approved the takeover of the biggest BMW cars dealer in the country, A-Cosmos, by Hungarian automotive group AutoWallis.
The takeover is not subject to the provisions of Slovenia's act on prevention of restriction of competition, AVK said in a brief statement earlier this week.

In June, AutoWallis said it had agreed to take over A-Cosmos as part of its plans to further strengthen its presence in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as to raise the volume of BMW sales in Slovenia.
Apart from selling and servicing BMW vehicles, A-Cosmos is also servicing MINIs.
AutoWallis is already present in 14 countries in CEE, including Slovenia where its local subsidiary - WallisMotor Ljubljana - has been an exclusive representative for Jaguar and Land Rover.
