LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 9 (SeeNews) – The net profit of banks in Slovenia increased 13.9% year-on-year in the eleven months through November 2019, reaching 520.2 million euro ($579.0 million), the central bank said on Thursday.
The banks' net interest income rose 2.4% on the year to 624.5 million euro in the period under review, whereas net fee and commission income added 5.9% to 306.3 million euro, Bank of Slovenia said in a monthly report on the performance of the banking sector.
The total gross income of banks in Slovenia rose 10.8% year-on-year in the first eleven months of 2019 to 1.16 billion euro, while operating costs increased 5.6% to 630.5 million euro.
The Slovenian banks' total assets grew to 40.89 billion euro as at end-November, from 38.78 billion euro at the end of 2018.
