August 29 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Slovenian banks increased 25% year-on-year in the first half of 2018 to 295.7 million euro ($345.3 million), the country's central bank said.
The Slovenian banks' net interest income rose 2.4% on the year to 327.7 million euro in the six-month period, while their net fee and commission income edged up 1.8% to 159.5 million euro, Bank of Slovenia said in a monthly report.
The banking sector's total gross revenue rose by an annual 5.9% to 593.4 million euro in January-June, while operating costs dropped 1.2% to 323.3 million euro.
Slovenian banks' total assets increased to 38.468 billion euro as at end-June, up from 37.946 million euro at the end-2017 level.
