December 27 (SeeNews) - The combined net profit of Slovenian banks increased 20.6% year-on-year to 388.6 million euro ($461.2 million) in the first 10 months of 2017, the central bank said.
The Slovenian banks' net interest income decreased 4.1% on the year to 538.0 million euro in the ten-month period, while net fees and commissions income edged down 0.1% to 260.8 million euro, the Bank of Slovenia said in a monthly report last week.
The banking sector's total gross revenue fell by an annual 4.4% to 906.8 million euro in the ten months through October, while operating costs increased by 0.2% to 546.4 million euro.
Slovenian banks' total assets increased to 37.5 billion euro as at end-October, up 462.6 million euro compared to end-2016.
