August 3 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's finance ministry said on Monday that it has sold 50 million euro ($59 million) worth of three-year Treasury notes by reopening an issue due in 2023, at record low yield of negative 0.492%.
The finance ministry took advantage of the interest expressed by an unnamed reputable investor and sold the new debt on July 30, achieving a yield that is just 27 basis points higher than the yield on the comparable German bond, the finance ministry said in a statement.
Slovenia's credit rating was affirmed at 'Baa1' by Moody's in April, at 'AA-' by S&P in June, and at 'A' by Fitch in July. In all three cases the outlook is stable, the ministry noted.
In March, Slovenia sold a new 850 million euro issue of three-year government debt at 0.253% yield, the ministry said at the time.
