September 28 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's Statistics Office on Friday lowered its 2006 general government deficit estimate to 1.2% of the country's gross domestic product (GDP), from 1.4% it reported in March.
The 2006 general government debt estimate was cut to 27.1% of GDP, from 27.8% reported in March, the office said in a statement.
Slovenia’s Finance Ministry expects general government deficit for 2007 to be equivalent to 0.6% of GDP and projects general government debt at the end of the year at 24.1% of GDP.
