May 4 (SeeNews) - The number of people who died from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Slovenia rose to 97 by Monday morning, up from 96 a day earlier, with the country reporting no new cases of the infection for a second consecutive day, the government in Ljubljana said.
Thus, the number of total confirmed infections remained unchanged at 1,439, the government said on a website it has created to monitor the coronavirus spread in the country.
A total of 20 people are under intensive care out of all 58 who have been hospitalised, the statement read.
At the same time, the number of registered recoveries remained unchanged at 241, it added.
The latest count is based on the results of 56,336 tests, with 616 of the total being executed in the past 24 hours.
The first confirmed coronavirus case in Slovenia was reported on March 4.
