February 6 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consolidated budget was in surplus of 149 million euro ($161 million) in January, the finance ministry said.
Budget revenues in the first month of 2023 declined 9.4% on the year to 1.08 billion euro, while expenditure declined 14.3% to 931 million euro, the finance ministry said in a statement on Friday.
Tax revenue in January totalled 925 million euro, 1.1% less than in the same period last year, whereas value-added tax (VAT) inflow went up 0.3% to 451 million euro and corporate income tax inflows increased by 31.1% to 94 million euro, the finance ministry noted.
Slovenia closed 2022 with a consolidated budget deficit of 1.4 billion euro, down from 2.915 billion euro in the previous year.
