August 3 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consumer prices grew by 11.0% year-on-year in July, after rising by 10.4% in June, the country's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices went up by 1.0% in July, after growing 2.7% in June, the statistical office said in a statement posted on its website last week.
The largest impact on annual inflation, 2.1 percentage points (pps), came from higher prices of petroleum products, while 2 pps was added by 13.5% higher prices of food. Electricity prices increased by 30.4% and added 1.1 pps to annual inflation.
The annual inflation was offset by 0.1 pp by 5.4% cheaper services of mobile telecommunications.
Measured by the EU's harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), Slovenia recorded annual inflation of 10.7% in July.
