July 1 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consumer prices grew by 10.4% year-on-year in June, after rising by 8.1% in May, the country's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices went up by 2.7% in June, after growing 2.0% in May, the statistical office said in a statement posted on its website on Thursday.
The largest upward impact on the annual inflation, 2.1 percentage points (pps), came from higher prices of electricity, gas and other fuels, followed by price jumps of petroleum products and food, which contributed 1.9 pps, each.
The annual inflation was offset by 0.2 pp by 5.3% cheaper services of communications.
Measured by the EU's harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), Slovenia recorded annual inflation of 10.8% in June.
