August 21 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in the second quarter of 2009 fell to 1,291 from 1,530 in the year-ago period, the Slovenian Statistics Office said on Friday.
The permits issued in the first quarter of 2009 totalled 1,118, the Statistics Office said in a statement.
The permits issued in the second quarter of 2009 gave the go-ahead for the construction of 1,251 new buildings with a total area of 553,696 square metres, compared to 1,466 new buildings with an area of 622,747 square metres in the year-ago period, the statement said.
