August 18 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's real economy expanded by 8.3% on an annual comparison basis in the second quarter of 2022, which was the largest increase among all EU member states in the review period and more than double the EU average, the EU's statistical office said.
On a quarterly comparison basis, Romania's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 2.1% in the April-June period, the second-sharpest increase of all 27 EU member states, trailing only the Netherlands with 2.6%, according to data from Eurostat's flash estimates issued on Thursday.
Looking at the flash data available for the Southeast Europe (SEE) region in the second quarter of 2022, Bulgaria recorded one of the highest quarterly GDP increases in the bloc, of 1.1% - as much as Spain and Hungary, and preceded by The Netherlands, Romania and Sweden with 1.4%.
