December 4 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's retail sales fell by 11.1% year-on-year in terms of volume in October, the steepest decrease among all EU member states for which data is available for this month of 2020, the bloc's statistical office said.
Slovenia's retail sales declined by 1.4% month-on-month in terms of volume in October, marking the sharpest decrease among EU-27 on a monthly comparison basis as well, Eurostat said in a statement on Thursday.
Among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE), only Romania posted a rise in retail sales volume in annual terms, of 4.9%. The country's retail sales volume added 1.7% on a monthly comparison basis.
