February 12 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's infrastructure ministry said it opened a tender for a 45 million euro ($49 million) revamp of an 11 km railway section in the country's northwest.
The project concerns the reconstruction of the Lesce Bled - Podnart section on the railway line linking the capital Ljubljana with the northern town of Jesenice, to bring it in line with European standards, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Works will include the renovation of the Otoce, Globoko and Radovljica railway stations and the rehabilitation of the Globoko and Radovljica tunnels, among others, the statement reads.
Interested candidates can submit their bids by March 27.
The contractor will have to complete all works on the project within 20 months.
