November 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenia has inaugurated a 13 km motorway section connecting Drazenci, in the north-east of the country, with Gruskovje, on the border with Croatia, the government said.
Bosnia's Euro Asfalt was in charge of construction works on the Drazenci-Gruskovje stretch of the motorway.
The next section of the motorway, stretching from Slovenia's eastern municipality of Podlehnik to Gruskovje, will be completed in autumn 2018, the government quoted prime minister Miro Cerar as saying on Wednesday.
When completed, the motorway will connects Sentilj, on the border with Austria, via Pesnica and Slivnica, to Gruskovje.
The first section of the motorway, Slivnica-Drazenci, was opened in 2009, while the entire motorway will be completed with the construction of the Podlehnik-Gruskovje section.
