March 31 (SeeNews) - The Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) said it suspended trading for an hour on Tuesday morning as its blue-chip index rose sharply.

Following a 7.15% increase of the MBI-10 index, trading was halted at 11:35 a.m. local time and resumed at 12:36 p.m., the stock exchange said in a statement.

The MBI-10 was at 3,619.18 points as of 13:05 local time, up 6.91% compared to its closing value the previous trading day, bourse data showed.

This is the fifth time the MSE has halted trading in the last three weeks.
