SKOPJE (Macedonia), February 10 (SeeNews) – The upgrade of Skopje’s main railway station, worth 2.6 million euro ($3.5 million), will be launched at the end of March or in early April, the Macedonian government said.
The the evaluation of the bids submitted in a tender for the station's reconstruction is expected to be completed by the end of the month, the government said in a statement on its website on Saturday, quoting prime minister Nikola Gruevski.
The transport ministry, which called the tender in July 2013, said at the time that the upgrade works should be completed by 2015.
This will be the first upgrade of Skopje’s main railway station, built 34 years ago.
