July 19 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at North Macedonia’s international airports in Skopje and Ohrid reached 948,815 in the first half of 2022, up 140.7% compared with the same period of last year, Aeroports de Paris (ADP) said.
In June alone, passenger numbers increased to 236,557, up by 122,410 from June 2021, while in the 12 months through June, passenger traffic rose 161.5% to 1.9 million, ADP said in a statement on Monday.
ADP owns 46% of Turkey’s TAV Airports, the company operating the airports in Skopje and Ohrid.
Aircraft movements at the two airports reached 8,367 in January-June, up 51.5% compared to the first six months of 2021.
In June alone, there were 2,091 aircraft operations at the two airports, 629 more than in June of last year.
In the 12 months through June, aircraft movements rose 70.7% year-on-year to 17,831.
