October 29 (SeeNews) - Albanian investment group Balfin opened its Skopje East Gate Mall in North Macedonia's capital on Friday, the shopping centre said in a Facebook post.
The construction of the shopping centre, which spreads over an area of 160,000 sq m, cost 103 million euro ($119.9 million), North Macedonia's government said in a statement on Thursday.
Skopje East Gate Mall is part of Balfin's real estate development project Skopje East Gate worth 350 million euro. The project also includes a residential compound and a business park.
The shopping centre is expected to attract 12 million visitors per year, Balfin said earlier this month.
The Balfin Group, founded by Samir Mane, is active in a number of sectors including real estate, retail, tourism, agriculture, energy, the mineral industry and services across Southeast Europe, as well as in Austria and the Netherlands, according to information posted on its website.
