June 7 (SeeNews) - The main index of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), the MBI10, dropped 2.28% month-on-month in May, to 5,842.14 points, as total trading turnover fell, the bourse said.
Turnover totalled 378.6 million denars ($6.6 million/6.2 million euro) in May, down 61.26% month-on-month, while turnover on the bourse's electronic system of trading (BEST) went up 5.78% to 262.9 million denars, the MSE said in a statement on Tuesday.
The number of transactions rose 10.19% month-on-month to 1,125 in May.
The MSE's market capitalisation totalled 223.8 billion denars at the end of May, down 1.13% month-on-month and 1.6% lower on an annual comparison basis.
Komercijalna Banka [MSE:KMB] was the most liquid share on the bourse in May, accounting for 86.8 million denars of the total turnover. The lender's shares traded at an average price of 11,699 denars on May's last trading day, down 3.35% compared with the last average price in the previous month.
The MBI10 stood at 6,070.62 points at the end of May 2022. In May 2022, trading turnover on the MSE totalled 577.5 million denars, earlier bourse data showed.
