January 5 (SeeNews) - The main index of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), the MBI10, rose 1.70% month-on-month in December last year, to 5,652.33 points, as total trading turnover also increased, the bourse said.
Turnover totalled 348 million denars ($6 million/5.6 million euro) in December, up 14.33% month-on-month, while turnover on the bourse's electronic system of trading (BEST) went down 33.4% to 300.6 million denars, the MSE said in a statement on Wednesday.
The number of transactions increased 15.03% to 1,186 in December. The MSE's market capitalisation totalled 214.3 billion denars at the end of December, up 2.61% month-on-month and 4.5% lower on an annual comparison basis.
The MBI10 stood at 6,153.48 at the end of December 2021. Trading turnover on the MSE totalled 840.4 million denars in December 2021, earlier bourse data showed.
