SKOPJE (North Macedonia), September 6 (SeeNews) – The blue-chip MBI-10 index of the stock exchange in Skopje closed at 4,089.44 points on Friday, gaining 2.0% over the week, bourse data showed.
Turnover on the official market of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) increased to 108.5 million denars ($1.9 million/1.8 million euro) in five sessions this week from 56.2 million denars in four sessions last week.
The bourse was closed on Wednesday, August 28, for the Feast of the Assumption of Virgin Mary.
Drug maker Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] accounted for the largest portion of trading turnover on the MSE this week. It generated a total turnover of 23.8 million denars, as 2,396 of its shares changed hands in 79 transactions.
MSE's OMB bond index closed at 132.92 points on Friday, unchanged from the last week.
