June 9 (SeeNews) - The Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) main index, MBI10, lost 3.31% in May, reaching 6,070.62 points at the end of the month, as total trading turnover dropped, the bourse said.
Turnover totalled 577.5 million denars ($10 million/9.3 million) in May, down 40.11% month-on-month, while turnover on the bourse's electronic system of trading (BEST) decreased by a monthly 14.44% to 497.9 million denars, the MSE said in a statement earlier this week.
The number of transactions went down 8.96% month-on-month to 1,687 in May.
The MSE's market capitalisation totalled 227.4 billion denars at the end of May, down 3.30% month-on-month and 11.8% higher on an annual comparison basis.
The MBI10 stood at 5,277.88 points at the end of May 2021.
In May 2021, trading turnover on the MSE totalled 472.9 million denars, earlier bourse data showed.
