May 26 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip MBI-10 index of the stock exchange in Skopje closed at 5,876.38 points on Friday, slightly down compared with its closing value of 5,879.44 points a week earlier, bourse data showed.
Turnover on the official market of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) dropped to 39.1 million denars ($681,686/634,242 euro) in four trading sessions this week, from 53.7 million denars in five trading sessions last week.
The bourse was closed on Wednesday, May 24, due to a public holiday.
Pharmaceutical company Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] contributed the most - 10.9 million denars - to the trading turnover of the MSE this week, as 795 of the company's shares changed hands in a total of 48 transactions.
The MSE's OMB bond index closed at 127.11 points on Friday, slightly higher from its closing value of 126.74 points a week earlier.
